The International Emergency Medicine and Global Health Fellowship is a program organized through the Division of Emergency Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina in collaboration with OneWorld Health. MUSC's Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) fellowship was initiated in 2009 and currently accepts 3 fellows per training year. The MUSC Department of Pediatrics is dedicated to improving the health of children both locally and worldwide through research, clinical care and through incorporation of global health into the residency training curriculum. The MUSC Children's Health Pediatric Surgery team treats children from the newborn stage through late adolescence. The fellows are expected to complete an introductory biostatistics course during their 2nd or 3rd year of training.
